An evening that threads art, activism, and practice into urgent conversations about climate collapse, post-coloniality, and the futures we can still make through dialogue and hands-on making.

In the open conversation, we will have Khaled Ramadan, who is curating the Nauru National Pavilion for the 61st Venice Biennale, and Lea Lintula (they/them), who has well-established involvement in local climate and social activism and the underground art scene in Helsinki.

The discussion will be on the entanglement of geopolitics, socio-cultural struggle, the function of art and activism, greenwashing, and everything else that is intertwined with climate collapse and environmental thinking.

After the discussion, Vilma Määttänen will be facilitating a hands-on workshop based on her material practice. Together, we will explore and discuss how the climate crisis and environmental thinking can reflect in our artistic practice.
